About 12 bighas of land submerged in water in a village of Banswara

Banswara : Minor fields coming out of Rakho main canal were inundated at four places due to poor construction. Farmers told that the minor which was built four months ago due to poor construction in the fields of Saredi Bhelan Gram Panchayat Suwala village Rayanpada in one kilometer from the main canal has broken at four places. Due to which the maize crop and manure sown in 12 bigha fields have been washed away in water. The water is going waste through the fields and into the pond.

Farmers told that when the contractor started the work four months ago, the farmers had protested. The construction is not at the minor level and the construction is of poor quality, about which the authorities were also informed, but the contractor constructed the minor as per his own wish.

Farmers told that due to poor construction the canal has broken and due to lack of level the water is going back into the main canal. If this is the situation in the beginning then how will water reach the end of the fields. The farmers have expressed their anger and demanded the repair of the minor and also the fields of many farmers got submerged. Farmers from the submerged fields demanded damages caused to their fields in Ukar Katara, Hadiya Katara, Walseg Pargi, Deva Pargi, Balu Katara, Magala Katara. On this occasion, social workers Govind Katara, Mahendra Patel, Balu Bhai, Kamalkant, Pawan, Ramesh, Satish, Kamlesh, Manilal Ward Panch and rural people were present.
