Kota : Kunhadi police station of Kota city has secretly arrested the accused of snatching Mangalsutra. The accused used to raid women wearing jewellery. After this, whenever he saw an opportunity, he would find a deserted place and commit the crime. During the absconding, he kept changing the registration number of the bike and also his appearance. DSP Gangasahay Sharma said – The accused had committed the crime on November 19 in Riddhi Siddhi Nagar Kunhadi area. He threatened a woman returning home with her child from school, snatched the mangalsutra from her neck and ran away. A case was registered on the complaint of the complainant and the search for the accused was started.

Police examined CCTV footage of nearby access routes. The suspect was identified after physical and technical investigation. The accused was detained from Kali Basti Canal. During interrogation, Mangalsutra and the bike used in the incident were recovered from the accused. The accused has confessed to committing another incident in Kunhadi area. The accused viciously keeps his face open during the recce before the crime. He used to change his address after the incident. The accused is from outside Kota. Presently lived on rent in Kota.
