Absconding accused arrested in Barmer gang rape case

Barmer : An accused who was absconding for 14 months has been arrested in the POCSO and gang rape case registered in Sindhari police station of Balotra district. A reward of Rs 5,000 has been declared on the wanted accused. Police have arrested 3 accused so far. A minor has been taken under police protection. According to the police, the family members of the minor filed a report in the police station and said that on August 16, seeing the minor daughter alone at home, Jagdish, Gangaram, Narsingaram and a minor teenager came to the house. He forcibly gang-raped the daughter. After this he threatened to kill me if I told anyone. Police have registered a case on this report and started investigation.

DSP Neeraj Kumar Sharma said – The police team raided different places with technical assistance and traditional policing. Before this, accused Jagdish and Gangaram have been arrested and sent to jail. Accused Narsingaram and the minor teenager were absconding. The police team raided different places. He could not be caught due to change of location. On information, accused Narsingaram alias Naringaram was taken into custody. After interrogation, he was arrested and presented in the court. The minor was taken under police protection and sent to a child care home. Head constables of Sindhari police station Girdhariram, Labhuram, Sukhdev and Jongendra were involved in the action.
