Alwar : ACB has carried out a major operation in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan on Monday. The ACB team has arrested a CGST Inspector in a corruption case. The CGST Inspector has been arrested while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand. Apart from the CGST Inspector, a contract worker has also been arrested in the bribery case.
A bribe of 1 lakh 50 thousand was demanded
ACB DSP Parmeshwar Lal said that the second unit of ACB Alwar was given a complaint by the complainant regarding bribe. He had told that CGST Inspector Devendra is demanding a bribe of 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees for not taking action against his firm for GST theft and disposing of the notice given to him. Inspector Devendra was posted in Division-D Bhiwadi.
CGST inspector’s house will be searched
On the complaint of the complainant, the complaint was verified under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Parmeshwar Lal of Alwar-II unit of ACB. On Monday, his team conducted a trap operation and arrested CGST Inspector Devendra Gurjar and assistant employee Bhavsingh Meghwal (contract worker) red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand (10 thousand Indian currency and Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand dummy currency) from the complainant. After this action, search operation will be conducted at their houses.
