Accident on Lucknow-Agra Expressway, 5 killed, CM Yogi expressed condolences

Lucknow, November 27 (IANS). State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the horrific road accident that took place on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. Five doctors of Saifai Medical College died in this accident. CM Yogi expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased and directed for prompt treatment of the injured.

As soon as information about the incident was received, CM Yogi instructed the district administration officials to speed up the relief work. He also ordered to immediately take the injured to the hospital and ensure their proper treatment. Along with this, he wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Along with this, he expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased.

Let us tell you that this accident happened on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway of Kannauj at around 4 am on Wednesday. According to the information, five doctors of Saifai Medical College were returning in their car after attending a wedding ceremony. During this the car collided with a truck. The collision was so strong that the car was blown to pieces. After the accident, there was screams in the car, people passing by immediately informed the police.

Police and administrative officials reached the spot and started relief work. The bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem.

It is being told that at 3:43 in the morning, information was received from the control room that a road accident had occurred at kilometer number 196 of the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. As soon as the control room received information, the police reached the spot. According to the information, the crashed Scorpio was going towards Agra, due to the driver falling asleep, the car broke the divider and reached the direction from Agra to Lucknow. After this, it collided with a truck coming from Agra side and crashed. All the doctors who lost their lives in the accident were doing PG.
