Barmer : Siwana Police of Balotra district has arrested the accused who was absconding for 15 months in the case of kidnapping, hostage taking and assault. There is a reward of Rs 25 thousand on the wanted person. At present, the police is interrogating the accused about other people involved in the incident. Police have arrested 3 accused so far. The camper vehicle used in the crime has been confiscated. According to the police, Sanjay Kumar had given the report at Siwana police station on 23 August 2023. In which he told that on August 23, he was going from Siwana to Balotra.
During this time, a white colored camper vehicle came near village Muthali. In which 5 people were aboard. They assaulted me at gunpoint and took me hostage. After kidnapping they ran away with mobile phone and cash. Police registered a case on the report. Started investigation. SI Imran Khan of Siwana police station said that considering the seriousness of the matter, SP Balotra formed teams and raided different places with technical and traditional policing. Wanted accused Ishararam and Sawai Lal were arrested in the case. The Bolero camper used in the crime was seized from their possession and the accused were presented in the court. From there both were sent to jail.
