Karauli News Desk: DST team has arrested a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 who was absconding in the case of gangrape and robbery of a minor. An illegal country-made pistol and 10 cartridges have been seized from the possession of the accused. The police is busy interrogating the accused. Constables Nemichand and Ramdas played a special role in the arrest of the accused.
Karauli DST in-charge Dhara Singh said that under the direction of SP Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay and ASP Gumnaram, a campaign is being run to arrest the wanted criminals. Under the campaign, Karauli DST team has arrested the accused who was absconding for 4 years in the case of gangrape and robbery of a minor. A reward of Rs 25 thousand was declared on the accused. Police have seized an illegal country-made pistol of 315 bore and 10 cartridges from the possession of the accused. Constables Nemichand and Ramdas of the DST team played a special role in the arrest of the accused.
DST in-charge Dhara Singh said that the accused was absconding for the last four years in cases registered in other police stations including robbery in Mandrayal and gang rape of a minor in Sapotra. Karauli SP had announced a reward of Rs 25 thousand on the arrest of the accused. The police team was continuously raiding to arrest the accused. The police arrested the accused after chasing him about 4 kilometers in the forests. The police is busy interrogating the accused.
