New Delhi, November 24 (IANS). Shiv Kumar Gautam, the accused arrested in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, made a big revelation on Sunday. Gautam told the police that he had been fooled by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
According to the report, absconding accused Shubham Lonkar had shown the picture of most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to accused Shiv Kumar Gautam, arrested in the murder case. He had claimed that Baba Siddiqui has connections with don Dawood Ibrahim.
When police officials told shooter Shiv Kumar Gautam that they had not found any connection between Baba Siddiqui and Dawood in any case, he was surprised. Shiv Kumar Gautam said that Shubham Lonkar trapped him by telling a false story and instigated him to commit this murder.
Officials said that the main members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang have a habit of misleading people who are less educated or have been jailed before by telling such false stories and get their work done.
Let us tell you that on November 22, the local police had arrested another accused Sumit Dinkar Wagh (26) in Nagpur in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. He is a resident of Akot city of Akola district.
Sumit is accused of transferring money to Naresh Kumar (brother of arrested accused Gurnel Singh), Rupesh Mohol and Harish Kumar using the account of Petlad branch of Gujarat in Karnataka Bank. Besides this, he had also transacted through internet banking using a new SIM card purchased in the name of Salman Vora.
This transaction was done on the instructions of wanted accused Shubham Lokar, who was Akot’s childhood friend. Both of them studied together in a college in Akot city.
It may be noted that NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside the office of his son Zeeshan in Bandra, Mumbai on October 12. Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for this murder. The gang says that Baba Siddiqui was murdered because of his close relations with actor Salman Khan.
