Barmer : Jasol police of Balotra district has arrested the accused who eloped with the intention of marrying a minor girl. The accused was caught 10 days after the incident. The girl has also been recovered. At present the police is taking him on remand and interrogating him. Jasol police station in-charge Chandra Singh said – On November 22, the girl’s family had lodged a report at Jasol police station. It was told that the accused Hemant Kumar had taken away the minor daughter from the house with the intention of marrying her. Police have registered a case on the report and started investigation.
Police inquired in and around the house and also examined CCTV footage. The search was started by forming different teams. The teams raided continuously. The team searched possible locations with the help of technical and traditional policing. During this, accused Hemant Kumar (26), son of Jwarilal, resident of Moti Chand Pachpadra Balotra, was taken into custody. After interrogation, the accused was arrested and presented in the court. He is being interrogated on remand from the court.
