Alwar : There are mountains on both sides in the flow area from Siliserh to Jaisamand. Many hotel owners have completely blocked the flow area. Construction work was done from the road to the mountain, after which a report was prepared and submitted to the district administration. Four walls of 16 hotels-resorts and other constructions are coming up in the flow area of Siliserh to Jaisamand. Jaisamand dam has not been able to fill up for many years. This issue was also raised in the House.
Hotels and resorts built in the flow area of Siliserh
The irrigation department has again issued a notice to remove the hotels, resorts and permanent structures built in the flow area of Siliserh in Alwar. The notice gives 7 days’ time, in which instructions have been given to remove the encroachment at their own level. Subdivision officer Pratik Juikar said that the permanent hotels and resorts built in the flow area of water coming from Siliserh to Jaisamand have been identified. After this, physical verification was done. Now the irrigation department has issued a 7-day notice. Instructions have been given to remove the encroachment. He said that if this encroachment is not removed, then the encroachment will be removed at the administrative level. Apart from this, now it will be monitored every 3 months, so that there is no encroachment.
The Revenue Department prepared the report based on records of 1955
Assistant Engineer of Water Resources Department Sub Division Subhash Sharma said that about 16 encroachments have been found in the flow area of Silised. Revenue Department has prepared the report on the basis of 1955 records. Meanwhile, JE of Irrigation Department Shashi Prakash Meena said that a joint team of Revenue, UIT and Irrigation Department is looking at the flow area of overflow water of Silised Dam. This water goes to Jaisamand. Any obstructing construction work in the flow area will be removed. Physical verification has been started. The biggest thing in this is that if according to the 1955 records, someone has become a tenant in the flow area, then he will also be evicted from the land.
Jaisamand dam was yearning for water for many years
Alwar’s main Jaisamand dam was yearning for water for many years, due to which the water problem in Alwar city was constantly increasing. Many attempts were made to bring water to Jaisamand dam. Water comes to Jaisamand dam from two places. One is Ruparel river, which is called Bara Beer. Two routes emerge from the garage built on Bara Beer, according to the division during the princely era, half the water goes from Bara Beer to Bharatpur, and the other half goes to Jaisamand dam. But, here also water is not coming to Jaisamand due to encroachment and permanent constructions made by the landholders. Similarly, water also goes to Jaisamand from Siliserh.
If encroachment is not removed then Jaisbandh dam will be destroyed
When the Siliserh dam overflows, its excess water flows into the Jaisamand dam, and hotels have been constructed in the downstream area. For example, the downstream area of Siliserh has been completely blocked. The hotels and resorts built in the downstream area are said to be very popular. The question is how strict a decision the government takes to keep the Jaisamand dam alive. If this encroachment is not removed, then Jaisamand dam will definitely be completely destroyed.
