Hyderabad, December 11 (IANS). The family dispute between Tollywood actor M. Mohan Babu and his son and actor Manchu Manoj is increasing. Both of them were to appear before the Rachakonda Police Commissioner on Wednesday regarding the matter. But, both did not appear.
Along with Mohan Babu, his elder son and actor Manchu Vishnu also did not appear.
Police Commissioner Sudhir Babu had summoned Mohan Babu and his sons for hearing over the incidents that took place at the family home in Jalapalli.
He was directed to appear in person on Wednesday at 10.30 am. The notice sent to Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj mentioned that they have been booked under sections 329 (4) (criminal trespass and house-breaking) and 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Judicial Code. Case has been registered.
According to the information, Mohan Babu, who was facing health related problems, was admitted to a hospital in Gachibowli. The 78-year-old actor and former MP is suffering from high blood pressure.
Mohan Babu also filed a petition in the Telangana High Court challenging the notice given by the Rachakonda Police Commissioner.
Manchu Manoj told the media that he would ask for more time to appear before the Police Commissioner. He said he suffered major injuries in the attack on his house in Jalapalli last night. Manoj reportedly argued with the bouncers deployed there and broke the gate to forcibly enter the house. After entering the house, they allegedly assaulted him.
At the same time, Manoj had earlier lodged a complaint with the police regarding the matter that about 10 people attacked his house on Sunday. The young actor said that his fight is not for property as he is not dependent on the family. He claimed that he was fighting for the truth.
Manoj, who describes his father as God, alleged that his brother Manchu Vishnu and his aide Vinay framed his father and portrayed him as the enemy.
Mohan Babu released a video late on Tuesday night saying that Manoj has no right to enter his house and he will decide whether to divide the property among his three children or donate it to someone.
