Administration returned without removing encroachment in Tonk Niwai

Tonk : Municipal Executive Officer Manohar Lal Jat along with the municipality arrived to take action against encroachment in street number 5 of Shivaji Colony, Niwai, but after people’s protest the administration returned.

The municipal administration arrived with two JCB machines and a tractor to remove the encroachment. After which a crowd of people gathered at the spot. When the executive officer reached the spot, the farmers protested against the action. There was a heated argument between the farmers and the officer. Farmers Ramesh Saini, Tarachand Mahur told that three months’ time is being sought from Municipal Executive Officer Manohar Lal Jat to remove the encroachment from the spot. At present wheat and other crops are sown in the fields. Due to which crops will be damaged. The encroachment will automatically be removed after 3 months. Road construction work will be started with the cooperation of the administration.

Farmers said that our main demand is three months’ time. But due to the stubbornness of the administration, farmers’ crops are being destroyed. We also agree with road construction and development. But we should be given three months time. The administration returned after the farmers protested. Municipal Executive Officer said that the Municipality had reached the spot with a team to remove the encroachment. But the farmers protested. Seeing the law and order situation at the spot, the administration returned. Due to non-availability of police administration contingent, the administration returned. The encroachment will be removed as soon as the police administration contingent is available. The demands made by the farmers will also be discussed with higher officials.
