Sikar : In Sikar district of Rajasthan, action is being taken to remove encroachment to relieve people from the jam on Nawalgarh culvert. Since Wednesday morning, 6 JCB machines along with heavy police force are busy demolishing about 50 to 60 shops. After removing the encroachment, the effort to convert this culvert into four lane is about to begin, which will provide great relief to the people passing through it.
‘If there is more vandalism then we will protest’
During the action to remove encroachment, officials of the Public Works Department along with the District Administration and Police are also present on the spot. However, before taking action to remove encroachment, notice has been given to shopkeepers and landlords by the Public Works Department. After receiving the notice, some shopkeepers vacated the encroached site. However, many shopkeepers, while demanding compensation, had said that they would protest if there was more demolition than the marked encroachment.
Four lane work will be completed in 2 years
After the action to remove encroachment, Haryana’s Dhariwal Construction Company will soon start the work of Nawalgarh culvert on a project worth Rs 81.01 crore. For Nawalgarh culvert, a new 13.5 meter wide T-shaped culvert will be built in its northern direction. Its length will be around 1200 meters. This culvert from Fatehpur Road side will start near Maru School, which will be about 200 meters longer than the culvert on Piprali Road side. A new route towards Nawalgarh Road will also emerge above the culvert. The work of four-laning of Nawalgarh culvert will be completed in about 2 years.
