Administration took action against illegal mining in Bhilwara

Bhilwara : Administration is taking action against illegal mining in Bhilwara district. Under the special campaign in the district under the leadership of District Collector Namit Mehta, so far 19 cases have been registered in two days and FIRs have been registered in 11 of them. Three big machines, one vehicle dumper and 18 tractor trolleys have been seized.

Mineral Engineer Chandan Kumar said that under the campaign, raids were conducted against illegal mining by Sub Divisional Officer, Karera Jogendra Singh, Tehsildar Raipur Sanwarlal, Police Station Raipur and Bagor and Girdawar and Patwari Halka Panotiya by conducting surprise checking in village Panotiya Tehsil Raipur.

The team seized two JCB machines and four tractor trolleys on the spot after they were found doing illegal mining of mineral quartz feldspar. Measurements of the illegal mining pit were taken on the spot by Omprakash Agal, a technical employee of the Mineral Department. Illegal mining of 426.61 tonnes of mineral feldspar and 121.89 tonnes of quartz was found on the spot. The team is imposing a penalty of Rs 10 lakh here, for which recovery action will be taken.

Assistant Mining Engineer Sunil Sanadhya, during a surprise checking in village Lakhmanias, Tehsil Sahada, seized a machine Poklane after it was found doing illegal mining of minerals feldspar and quartz. By measuring the illegal mining pit, penalty should be imposed on the illegal miners. Action is being taken and then recovery will be done as per departmental rules.
