Jaipur : this year’s monsoon in the state is now ready to leave. The sky has started clearing slowly for the last few days. The rain in various districts has now started to stop. However, in many districts, there is still movement of clouds throughout the day. In many districts of eastern Rajasthan including Jaipur, dark clouds have camped in the sky for the last three-four days. Usually the departure of monsoon from the state starts from September 17, but this time it is getting delayed. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the departure of monsoon may start from a part of Rajasthan in the next one or two days, but it may take more than a week to ten days for complete departure.
Weather forecast for the last 24 hours
Talking about the weather conditions of the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places in eastern Rajasthan. Whereas the weather remained dry in western Rajasthan. Due to fluctuations in the weather, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 38.9 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 37.0 mm was recorded in Dungarpur tehsil.
Monday’s weather update
Talking about the weather on Monday, according to the Meteorological Center Jaipur (IMD, Jaipur), there is a possibility of rain in some places in the areas around Kota, Udaipur division of eastern Rajasthan. Also, the weather is likely to remain dry in some parts of western Rajasthan.
Heavy rain alert for the coming days
According to the Meteorological Department, conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of southwest monsoon from western Rajasthan and some parts of Kutch around September 23. The monsoon trough is now passing through Bikaner. Due to this, the cyclonic circulation spread up to 1.5 km above sea level over northern Rajasthan has weakened. Due to this, the weather is likely to remain generally dry in most parts of western Rajasthan till September 23-24 and light rain is likely at some places in eastern Rajasthan. After this period, light rain activities with thunderstorms are likely to increase at some places in eastern Rajasthan from September 26.
