Jaipur : Congress will now take action against leaders who indulge in sabotage against candidates in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections and anti-party activities. To take action against such people, the first meeting of the Congress Disciplinary Committee is being held on Saturday. Recommendation Committee Chairman Udaylal Anjana along with committee officials Shakuntala Rawat, Hakam Ali and Vinod Gothwal will attend the meeting. This is the first meeting after the formation of the Disciplinary Committee. The Disciplinary Committee was not formed for the last three and a half years.
More than 20 cases discussed
If party sources are to be believed, more than 20 complaints were sent to the discipline committee for sabotage in elections and making statements different from the party line. This will be discussed in the meeting and after that a report will be sent to the state leadership recommending action against such people. After this, the state leadership will take strict action.
Jaipur Heritage Corporation councillors also have a case
It is being told that in the meeting, the matter of Congress councillors who met BJP state president CP Joshi demanding the dismissal of Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation Mayor Munesh Gurjar has also been sent to the disciplinary committee. The city Congress had earlier issued show cause notices to these councillors, now the matter has been sent to the committee for action. The committee can take action against them too.
A strong message was given after the Lok Sabha elections
In fact, Congress had taken action against many leaders immediately after the Lok Sabha elections on complaints of making statements different from the party line and sabotage. Many people including former minister Amin Khan on the complaint of Barmer-Jaisalmer Congress candidate Ummedram, former PCC secretary Balendu Shekhawat on the complaint of Jalore candidate Vaibhav Gehlot and Kuchera Nagarpalika chairman Tejpal Mirdha on the complaint of alliance candidate from Nagaur Hanuman Beniwal were shown the way out of the party. Recently 27 block presidents and their executive were also dissolved. This can also be recommended in the committee.
