After Chittorgarh Assembly by-election, now the government can complete the quorum of ministers.

After the landslide victory in the by-elections, there is an atmosphere of happiness in both the BJP organization and the government. At the same time, after winning 5 seats in seven by-elections, the number of BJP MLAs in the assembly has also increased. There is discussion in political circles that now the government’s focus will be on cabinet expansion and development works. Along with this, discussions are also going on about Chittorgarh district getting another minister. At present, the only Minister of State with independent charge from the district is Gautam Duck.

Kripalani has the upper hand!

According to political sources, Kripalani is said to have the upper hand in the race for ministerial post. He has also been a cabinet minister in the Vasundhara government. In the assembly elections, he defeated Congress government’s cabinet minister Udaylal Anjana. At the same time, his role was important in the Lok Sabha elections and the recently held Salubar elections. He played an important role in pacifying the rebels in Salubar. It was because of the rebel’s sitting that BJP was able to win there by about 1300 votes. In such a situation, it is believed that Kripalani may get a reward for this.

Four BJP MLAs in the district

BJP has four MLAs in the district. Ten of these have been made ministers. Chittorgarh has its own place in Mewar region, which is considered the stronghold of BJP. In such a situation, another minister can be made from here. Nibaheda MLA Shrichand Kripalani and Kapasan MLA Arjunlal Jinagar, both are seniors. At the same time, Begun MLA Suresh Dhakad is also a second-time MLA.

Currently 6-7 ministers’ seats are vacant

A maximum of 15 percent of the assembly members can be made ministers. There are total MLAs in the state 200. In such a situation, 30 ministers including the Chief Minister can be made. At present there are a total of 24 ministers including the Chief Minister and two Deputy CMs. That means the state government can still make 6 more members ministers. If the resignation of Dr. Kirori Lal Meena is accepted then the number of vacant ministerial posts will become 7. By completing the quorum of cabinet members, BJP will try to woo all sections.
