What is
Marburg belongs to the Ebola Virus family. This is a very serious disease. People get infected by coming in contact with mines or caves for a long time. Also, in those places where bats are found in large numbers.
How does this virus spread?
Marburg virus is spread from bats to humans through direct contact with the bodily fluids, surfaces and materials of infected people.
What are its symptoms?
According to WHO, symptoms of Marburg virus start appearing within two to 21 days. The disease caused by Marburg virus starts suddenly, causing high fever and severe headache. In this, diarrhea, stomach pain and cramps, nausea and vomiting may start on the third day. Also, in some cases, blood starts coming out from the eyes. Although these symptoms do not occur in all cases, the onset of serious bleeding symptoms may appear between 5 and 7 days, and fatal cases usually involve some form of bleeding. Which sometimes results in death. Which occurs between 8 to 9 days after the onset of symptoms.
