After exit poll all parties claimed victory

New Delhi, November 20 (IANS). Voting for assembly elections ended in Maharashtra and Jharkhand on Wednesday. Voting also took place for by-elections on nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. In these elections, leaders of different parties are claiming victory for their respective parties.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has expressed hope of BJP winning all the nine assembly by-elections in the state. He told IANS, “Bharatiya Janata Party is winning the by-elections on all nine seats. The public was very upset with the way Samajwadi Party had indulged in hooliganism on all the nine seats. These people crossed the limits in Karhal, where a girl was murdered. We strongly condemn this misdeed and demand strict action.”

He said that BJP’s alliance is winning in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. This victory is the victory of Prime Minister Modi’s poor welfare schemes. From the day Mahayuti fought the elections together, the public has taken a decision in our favor for the all-round development of the state.

BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said, “Bharatiya Janata Party had won the country’s elections. Won Haryana elections. Now we are going to win the elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand also. Our government is going to be formed at both the places under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party.”

He claimed that there was overwhelming voting against the present government in Jharkhand. People have voted to remove the corrupt government. Also, people in Maharashtra have voted to bring back the Mahayuti government. After this election, the Congress Party will be silent. He used to create a lot of confusion. He had spread a lot of confusion in the Lok Sabha elections.

Responding to the exit polls, Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said, “Now a lot of exit polls have started coming. There is doubt about whom to trust. Many times there is a huge difference between exit polls and actual figures. We saw what happened in Haryana. Before that saw Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The results at these places were contrary to the exit polls. It is a matter to be considered as to how much trust should be given to this. Mahayuti alliance will get 160-170 seats in Maharashtra.”

Current BJP MLA Prasad Lad said, “BJP will form the government in Maharashtra. Our focus was more on forming the government in the state than who would be the Chief Minister. Whoever will be the Chief Minister will work for this state and to take this state forward.”

He said that this time the voting percentage has increased. Only Mahayuti will win in this election.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey said, “In the exit polls, some are coming in favor of ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’ and some are in favor of Mahayuti. We do not want to raise any question marks on the exit polls. But we have seen exit polls going wrong in Haryana. Before that, Congress was being shown majority everywhere in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, but Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government. Similarly, in the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party was being shown a huge majority figure, but it also did not get it. We leave it to the public whether to trust the exit polls or not, but Maha Vikas Aghadi government will be formed in Maharashtra.”

Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth said, “There is a tsunami of change and the people of Jharkhand are in the mood for change. Hemant Soren’s government cheated for five consecutive years, whether you look at youth or women or farmers, every section was cheated. Now the people of the state are seeing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the fate of the country. He dedicated big schemes from Jharkhand to the country and our tribal brothers and sisters have a special place in the Prime Minister’s heart, so this time the public is in the mood.”

He claimed that with two-thirds majority, the government will be formed in Jharkhand under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party. Be it Parivartan rally, or meeting, or when BJP candidates were leaving, people were excited and looking with hopeful eyes.

Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay said, “There has been a higher voting percentage in the second phase. A large number of votes were cast in tribal areas. Along with this, there has not been much voting in urban areas. This shows that by combining all the base votes of tribals, Muslims, Christians, Dalits and what Rahul Gandhi talked about about OBCs, we are definitely going to get an edge in this.”
