After Jhansi incident, investigation into fire fighting in Noida hospitals started

Noida, November 16 (IANS). After the tragic accident in the Medical College of Jhansi, now the fire department team has started checking all the equipment related to fire fighting in all the government and private hospitals of Gautam Buddha Nagar district. In this series, the first investigation was done at Child PGI, Noida on Saturday.

Fire fighting equipments were found working here, but apart from this, some shortcomings were also found, which were assured to be rectified soon by the hospital management.

The Chief Fire Officer says that the investigation of all government and non-government hospitals of Gautam Buddha Nagar will be completed in three to four days. Where shortcomings will be found. They will be rectified immediately, otherwise action will be taken.

According to the information received from the Fire Department, under the direction of Police Commissioner Gautam Buddha Nagar Lakshmi Singh, the Fire Department is running a campaign in view of fire safety arrangements and emergency arrangements in all the hospitals of the district. In this, on November 16, CFO Pradeep Kumar inspected the Child PGI Hospital and took stock of the fire safety equipment. Necessary guidelines have been given to the hospital administration to deal with the emergency situation.

Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar said that some shortcomings were also found during the checking campaign in Noida Child PGI Hospital. The hospital management has assured that these shortcomings will be rectified soon.

CFO has told that pumps and sprinklers are working here. Some detections are not working. Water leakage has also been found at some places. This will be rectified as soon as possible. Along with this, now the prescribed SOP and fire fighting equipment in all private and government hospitals will be checked and if any deficiencies are found, notice will be given to rectify them.
