Jaipur : A day before the budget session of the Assembly, a cabinet meeting was held in the CM office on Tuesday. Many major decisions were taken in this. In the meeting, many bills to be placed in the assembly session were discussed. Apart from this, decisions were approved to open Greenfield Airport in Kota, Aerocity in Jaipur, cargo facility at airports and repair airstrips of many districts to make them flight-worthy. It was decided to open flying schools in Kishangarh, Bhilwara and Jhalawar and name three colleges after philanthropists. Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari did not attend this meeting called at 12:30 pm. Both joined the meeting through video conferencing. After the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, Cabinet Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Jogaram Patel gave information about the decisions taken in the cabinet in a press conference.
Civil Aviation Policy 2024 approved
Rathore informed that the Cabinet has approved the Civil Aviation Policy 2024 with the aim of improving regional air connectivity and promoting tourism in the state. This policy focuses on increasing aviation training facilities, aviation maintenance services and developing aerospace activities. Under this, flying schools will be opened in Kishangarh, Jhalawar and Bhilwara and a Greenfield Airport will be built in Kota. For this, an MoU will be signed in August. Cargo facility will be started at various airports in the state. He informed that under this policy, the old airstrips of the state will be repaired and made airworthy again. These airstrips are not being used right now.
Aerocity will be built in Jaipur
Rathore said that an Aerocity will be built near the international airport in Jaipur. Various infrastructure facilities including hotels and restaurants will be developed in it. This will provide employment opportunities to people. Work on this will start soon.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said that a bill will be introduced in the Assembly to abolish the Gandhi Vatika Trust, Jaipur Act-2023. Unlimited financial powers were given to the vice-president in various sections of the Act introduced in 2023. The vice-president was given the right to sell, mortgage or dispose of any kind of immovable property related to the trust. He also clarified that the Gandhi Darshan Museum will continue to be operated. The museums operating under other departments in the state are being operated by the concerned department itself, in such a situation, Gandhi Vatika Trust is not required for the operation and administrative implementation of the Gandhi Darshan Museum.
Amendment to Renewable Energy Policy 2023 approved
Industry Minister Rathore informed that in the meeting, the proposal to amend the provisions of Renewable Energy Policy 2023 and Rajasthan Land Revenue Rules, 2007 has been approved. To make Rajasthan self-reliant in power generation, MoUs worth about Rs 2.25 lakh crore have been signed by the state government so far. Now these amendments will pave the way for new investment of Rs 2 lakh crore in the power sector in the state. Changes have been made in the allotment rules to make proper use of the solar radiation available in the state, so that land allocation for solar power projects can be done at 7.5 percent of the DLC rate. Also, now solar energy can be produced at the rate of one megawatt on 2 hectares of land.
Naming of three colleges
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchandra Bairwa informed that with the aim of honoring and encouraging the donors, the Cabinet has given approval to name the Government College Sahwa in Churu district as Mohani Devi Chachan Government College Sahwa, Government College Dhorimanna in Barmer district as Shanti Devi Udayraj Gandhi Government College Dhorimanna and Government Girls College Sridungargarh in Bikaner district as Government Sadu Devi Parakh Girls College Sridungargarh.
