Bundi : Hurt by the sealing of the house by the finance company in Tirath village of Talera subdivision, 20-year-old Divya’s daughter Mahesh Meena on Sunday took issue with the death of 20-year-old Divya due to consumption of toxic substance on Saturday. They blocked the Kota Lalsot Mega Highway near Tirath village for half an hour demanding compensation and filing a case against the finance company. Seeing the matter escalating, Additional Superintendent of Police Uma Sharma, Keshavraipatan Deputy Ashish Bhargava, Keshavraipatan police station officer Devesh Bhardwaj and police from three police stations reached the spot. After convincing the officials, the family members cremated the body, only then the administration heaved a sigh of relief.
According to the information, on Saturday at 1 pm, employees of Kota Residential Finance including Mahesh Meena sealed the house and went away. There was no person present inside the house at that time. When Divya Meena reached home after working from the fields in the evening, she got information about the seizure, due to which she was shocked. He entered the house from behind and consumed poisonous substance. As soon as he started vomiting, the neighbors took him to Kota hospital, where he died after 2 hours during treatment. When the news of Divya’s death reached the village, a crowd of villagers reached Kota. When the police arrived to conduct the post-mortem of the body on Sunday, the villagers and family members created a ruckus and started shouting slogans. Seeing the matter escalating, the police officer reached Kota and tried to pacify the family members, but the family members of the deceased demanded to register a case against the finance company, give the keys of the house and a compensation amount of Rs 20 lakh. The administration consulted for two hours. On the spot, after the finance company gave the keys of the house to the police, the family members conducted the post-mortem of the body.

Preparations were going on in Kota Hospital to bring the dead body from the mortuary to Tirath village, at the same time the villagers and family members blocked the Kota Mega Highway. Later, after the advice of the police, the jam was removed. When Divya’s body reached the village, the family members lay down on the road and started demanding arrest of the finance company people and waiver of the loan. After discussing this, the villagers parted ways. The body was cremated 18 hours later.
