Jaipur : Rajasthan High Court has given 2 weeks time to present the challan against Munesh Gurjar. The court has taken on record the sanction of prosecution against Munesh Gurjar and the hearing will be held after two weeks. Justice NS Dhaddha gave this direction on Monday on the petition of Sudhanshu Singh Dhillon. The government has approved prosecution against Jaipur Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar. Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar may have to leave the post of corporation in two weeks. He may be arrested.
ACB will file challan against Munesh in two weeks
Now in two weeks, ACB will present a challan against Mayor Munesh in the court. Meanwhile, UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has given a big statement on the Heritage Mayor. Jhabar Singh Kharra has given a big statement on the suspension of Munesh Gurjar. While talking to the media at his residence, he said that as soon as ACB presents a challan against the Mayor in the court, the Mayor will be suspended from his post. After removing Munesh Gurjar from his post, the government will temporarily hand over the charge of Mayor to one of the current councilors for 60 days.
Munesh’s husband arrested in bribery case
On 4 August 2023, ACB raided the house of Municipal Corporation Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar. Munesh’s husband Sushil Gurjar was arrested on charges of demanding a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. Sushil Gurjar was accused of demanding bribe through two brokers to get the lease issued. Along with Sushil, brokers Narayan Singh and Anil Dubey were also arrested. ACB found the lease file during a search of the mayor’s house. Along with this, Rs 40 lakh was also found. Rs 8.95 lakh was also found from Narayan Singh’s house.

On August 5, the Department of Autonomous Governance suspended Munesh Gurjar from the post of Mayor and Councilor.
On August 23, Munesh got relief from the court and she again sat on the chair of mayor.
On September 1, the state government withdrew the decision to suspend Munesh Gurjar.
It was suspended again on 22 September.
On September 26, Munesh Gurjar challenged it in the High Court and became the mayor again in December 2023.
