Varanasi, 25 November (IANS). After the victory in the assembly by-elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Kashi Kotwal on Monday to visit Kaal Bhairav and Baba Vishwanath. Within ten days, CM Yogi paid obeisance at Baba’s feet for the second time.
Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi had come to Varanasi on November 15 on Dev Diwali. During this, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was also present.
Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath performed aarti after visiting Kashi Kotwal Baba Kaal Bhairav. He worshiped here as per the rituals. After this he visited Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and worshiped. After going to Baba’s sanctum sanctorum and worshiping Shodashopachar, he wished for public welfare.
Finding the Chief Minister among them, the devotees welcomed him with the slogan of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and the Chief Minister also accepted the greetings of the people with folded hands.
After having darshan of Baba Vishwanath, the Chief Minister participated in the ongoing seven-day Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Domari through the water route from Shri Kashi Vishwanath gate.
In the by-elections held on 9 seats in Uttar Pradesh, NDA won seven seats. Of these, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won six seats and NDA alliance (RLD) won one seat. Samajwadi Party has won two seats. BJP won in Ghaziabad, Kundarki, Katehari, Mirapur, Majhwan, Phulpur and Khair. Whereas, SP won Sisamau and Karhal seats of Kanpur.
Voting was held on 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh on November 20. Whereas, the results of the elections were declared on 23 November.
