Opening another new front, Dr. Meena has put forward a demand on her own government to end the VIP culture. He said that police escort for government ministers is not necessary.
‘Why are you escorting?’
Actually, Cabinet Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena had come as a guest to attend the inauguration ceremony of a private establishment on Bharatpur Road in Mahuva, Dausa. During this, he gave a statement to end the VIP culture of ministers and said that the escort system of ministers should be ended. Kirori also asked the police station officer present there, Jitendra Singh Solanki, why are you escorting me. Who informed you about my coming here?
‘Escort system should end’
On this, Mahuva police station officer Jitendra Singh Solanki also said that this is our information system. Due to which we got information about your arrival. It is our responsibility to provide you security. During this, Minister Kirori Lal said that if any leader receives any threat or there is an atmosphere of fear then it is the duty of the police to provide security. Otherwise no politician should have any system like escort.
‘Police waste time in escort’
Kirori Lal Meena said that the police waste their precious time by escorting ministers. The time spent in escorting the police should be utilized for the safety of the common people and by holding a public hearing, the public will get relief. He said that earlier this decision was also taken during the Vasundhara Raje government. Which probably still persists. He said that perhaps there is not even a circular to provide escorts to ministers like this.
