Ajmer : Two big exams are to be held in Ajmer Rajasthan in the month of February. These include Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET)-2024 and Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education’s 10th-12th board exams. The Board of Secondary Education is preparing to change the date of one of these two exams. It is believed that the board may change the date of 10th-12th board exam. However, the date of REET has not been decided yet. It is believed that REET may be held in February. Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has started preparations for REET. For this, the board prepared the format of the release and sent it to the government. Now waiting for permission from the government. The date of application and exam will be announced as soon as permission is received. More than 30 lakh candidates and students will appear in both these examinations. A lot of arrangements have to be made regarding the exam. In such a situation, Rajasthan Board administration will make changes on the already fixed date.
If the date is changed, the exam will be held in the first week of March.
Secretary of the Board of Secondary Education, Kailash Chand Sharma said – The Board had fixed the exam date of class 10th-12th about 5 months ago. Higher Secondary, Higher Secondary (Vocational), Senior Upadhyaya examination is scheduled to start from 20th February 2025 and Secondary, Secondary (Vocational), Praveshika examination is scheduled to start from 27th February 2025. Under the current circumstances, REET-2024 is proposed in February. However, its date has not been decided yet. If it happens in February, then instead of conducting the 10th-12th board exams in the month of February, it can be started from the first week of March. Sharma said- Preparations are going on to conduct practical exams in the month of January. If REET is not held in February then this recruitment will be postponed in March also. Because board exams will run throughout the month of March. In such a situation, the board believes that REET should be conducted in February.
This is the big reason for changing the date
According to the board, about twenty lakh students appear in class 10th and 12th. Preparation has to be done on a large scale for these examinations. Schools and teachers also participate fully in this. There are special seating arrangements in schools.
Around 10 to 12 lakh candidates are expected to appear in REET-2024 also. It will be in two shifts for Level-1 and Level-2. Preparation for this also takes place on a large scale. For this, along with seating arrangement, staff is also appointed.
Board examinations will start from 20th February and these examinations last for about one and a half months. In such a situation, it will be difficult to make seating arrangements, appointment of staff and other arrangements for any other exam.
What is REET?
The full name of REET is Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test. Which is the required eligibility test to become a teacher in government schools in Rajasthan. This examination has been conducted through the Board of Secondary Education of Ajmer. Candidates who qualify REET are given Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Certificate. Earlier this certificate was valid for 3 years, but from the 2022 exam it was made lifelong.
