Ajmer : Ajmer If after 7 pm, if you have to go from Railway Station or Bus Stand to Makadwali, Pushkar Road, Jaipur Road, Ramganj-Naseerabad Road, then the Municipal Corporation’s urban transport facility will not be available. Under compulsion, one will have to pay arbitrary fare to auto, e-rickshaw and taxi. Earlier, low floor buses were operated in the city under the JNRUM scheme. Apart from Ajmer, Pushkar, these buses operated in various parts of the city. Their maintenance and operation became a loss-making deal. Municipal Corporation’s urban transport facility was started in the city last four years. These buses operate to Pushkar-Kishangarh including the interior and surrounding areas of the city.
Private fare up to Rs 250
Roadways are charging arbitrary fare up to Rs 250 for going from bus stand or railway station to Makadwali Road, Panchsheel, Pushkar Road, Kesarganj-Ramganj, Adarsh Nagar, Gulabbari, Madar. Whereas in urban transport service, people travel easily for Rs 5 to 25.
No operation after 7 pm
Municipal transport buses of the corporation do not run after 7 pm. These are parked at the private bus stand located in Kotra. They start operating again at 6-7 in the morning.
Better arrangements in other cities
There are better arrangements in other cities including Noida in UP, Nagpur in Maharashtra, Mumbai, Bengaluru in Karnataka, Chandigarh, Jaipur in Punjab-Haryana. Cheap public transport and buses are available here throughout the night. City buses run till late night.
