Ajmer Board of Secondary Education gets permission to conduct REET

Ajmer : Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has received the government’s permission regarding REET-2024. Board Secretary Kailash Chand said that notification will be issued soon. The administration has started preparations for this. At present the application date and exam date have not been decided. He said- The validity of the candidates who pass the examination will be life time this year also. For the first time, there will be 5 options in the OMR sheet and it will be necessary to answer every question. Marks will also be deducted if left blank. For separate applications for REET level one and two, a fee of Rs 500 and a half will have to be paid. Whereas applying for both together will cost Rs 750.

Exam will be held after 70 days in 2022 and after 229 days in 2021.

REET 2017 – Applications invited from 6th to 30th November 2017. The examination was conducted on 11 February 2018. The examination was conducted 72 days after the last date of application. REET 2021 – Applications accepted from 11 January to 8 February 2021. The examination was conducted on 26 September 2021. Earlier the exam date was declared as 25th April. But later it was postponed to 26 September. The examination was conducted 229 days after the last date of application.
REET 2022 – The application process ran from 18 April to 13 May 2022. The examination was conducted for the first time over two days on 23-24 July 2022. The examination was conducted after 70 days from the last date of application.

Five options instead of four, every question will have to be answered

This time candidates will be given five options in the OMR sheet instead of four. Every question will have to be answered. There will be five options for answering a question instead of four. In such a situation, if a candidate does not fill all four options, then he will have to fill the fifth option. Failure to do so will result in negative marking and marks will be deducted. Along with this, if any candidate does not choose even one of the five options in answer to more than 10 percent of the questions, he will be disqualified. Apart from this, surveillance will also be done through CCTV.

Exam will be held in 2 innings

The exam will be held in different shifts for both the levels. In the first shift, the exam will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm and in the second shift, the exam will be held from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

Papers will remain in double lock

The examination papers will be kept in double lock in the treasury near the center in the presence of security guards. Where there is no treasury, a temporary treasury will be created.
The examination will be conducted at the district headquarters only. District level examination conducting committee will be formed and Additional District Collector will be the nodal officer.

The full name of REET is Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test. Which is the required eligibility test to become a teacher in government schools in Rajasthan. This examination has been conducted through the Board of Secondary Education of Ajmer. Candidates who qualify REET are given Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Certificate. Earlier this certificate was valid for 3 years, but from the 2022 exam it was made lifelong.
