Ajmer : Ajmer The emergency unit (casualty) of Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital is dependent on resident doctors. Most of the time, only resident doctors and senior resident doctors are on duty. Even though the hospital administration has appointed 21 CMOs according to the departments, many of them leave after marking biometric attendance. Even though the CMOs are giving duty during OPD in the emergency unit of the hospital. Even in the evening, a CMO is giving equal duty but most of the time the CMO’s chair seems empty. In such a situation, serious patients and those seriously injured in road accidents are facing problems in quick treatment. CMO is not visible most of the time at night.

If there is a CMO then these systems remain smooth

Full time presence of all residents.

Quick treatment of serious patients.

Control over commotion and opposition from family members in case of casualty.

All patients coming to the unit were given timely treatment and shifting to the ward.

Quick decision on patient’s death or broad dead, arrangements by PM.

In case of suspicious case, immediately inform the police etc.

Hospital management made a road map for inspection but it was not effective.
