Ajmer Chief Secretary angry over scuffle in Pushkar fair, asked for report from Collector

Ajmer : Chief Secretary (CS) Sudhansh Pant has expressed displeasure over the scuffle that took place at the International Pushkar Fair on 14 November. He has asked for a report on this matter from the Collector. The crowd went out of control during the concert of Bollywood singer Kailash Kher. During this time, the female constable Sunita Chaudhary, who slapped the young man, has been sent to the line. Sunita was posted at Clock Tower police station in Ajmer. On the same day, during the concert, someone stole the official gun and cartridges of ASP gunman Suresh Devanda (31) amidst the crowd. Considering this as negligence on the part of the gunman, Ajmer SP Vandita Rana has suspended him.

There was an atmosphere of chaos as soon as the program started

A large number of tourists had come to the concert. As soon as Kailash Kher’s program started, there was an atmosphere of chaos on the spot. There was pushing and shoving everywhere. A large number of policemen were deployed for security. During this time, the pistol and cartridges of Suresh Devanda (31), resident of Kachwada-Dudu, gunman (constable) of ASP (Vigilance) Vijay Sankhla posted at Ajmer Range Office, were stolen. The police department has suspended Suresh considering it as negligence.

Case was registered in Pushkar police station

Gunman (constable) Suresh Devanda had lodged a report at Pushkar police station regarding theft of government pistol and cartridges. It was reported in the report that on November 14 at around 8:30 pm, people were entering the concert of Bollywood singer Kailash Kher through the VIP gate of Pushkar Fair Ground. There was pushing and shoving due to the crowd. Meanwhile, someone stole the pistol and 10 cartridges from the magazine.
