Ajmer : Stones were laid for concrete construction on the land of Ajmer Corporation. Ajmer Municipal Corporation has removed encroachment from about two thousand square yards of land owned by the corporation on Makadwali Road, Baldev Nagar. The value of this land is said to be more than Rs 6 crore. Earlier also the Corporation had removed the encroachment and barricaded it. The land was recaptured a few days ago.
The encroachers removed the fencing and built a fence on the land overnight and even shifted the cattle. For some days, its height was being increased by adding debris. On Friday morning, the corporation team first sent the cattle to Kanji House. Then the encroachment was demolished. Will auction this land. Councilor Ramesh Chailani said that debris was being dumped here for the last few days. At first it seemed that perhaps the Municipal Corporation itself was dumping the debris. But here the cattle were brought here overnight and a fence was made. Three-four trolley stones have been emptied. The encroachers were preparing for concrete construction.
These lands were earlier in the form of rain drains. The corporation built drains all around here. As soon as the drain was built, land worth crores came on the road. Some people had already prepared for occupation here but the then Commissioner Sushil Kumar removed the encroachment from here and got fencing done. The corporation is preparing to auction the land after receiving continuous complaints here. The land will be auctioned soon. Preparations were made to take over the land worth crores adjacent to the main road. Every day the team of cleaning workers of the corporation comes here and cleans. The corporation administration has made a restriction that if any government land is known to be encroached upon then the corporation should immediately lodge a complaint, but no one lodged a complaint in this matter.
