Ajmer did not deposit Rs 4.29 crore, notice to JLN Hospital Superintendent

Ajmer : Ajmer The Regional Commissioner of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has issued a notice to the Superintendent of the Jawaharlal Nehru Group Medical Association for not depositing the contribution of the personnel through the placement agency in Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital. An explanation has also been sought for not depositing the outstanding contribution of Rs 4 crore 29 lakh 65 thousand 981. In response to the notice received by the placement agency personnel of various cadres in Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital for not depositing the outstanding PF contribution, JLN Hospital Superintendent has cited that the provident fund benefit is not being given by M/s RS Enterprises Jaipur firm.

Contractor was instructed not to pay

The Regional Provident Fund Commissioner also directed that until the outstanding contributions of the employees are not deposited by the employer (firm), payment to the firm should be stopped. But despite this, the payment to the concerned employing firm has been made by the Superintendent. Questions have also been raised on making monthly payments to the concerned firm without giving PF and ESI.

This firm came into existence in 2018 so why the case of 2013-14

It is being told that M/s RS Enterprises Jaipur (Firm) has come in 2018. Before this, other firms including Pannadhaya were working. Then why were questions raised from 2013-14 itself? The government deposits 12.7 percent of the employee’s honorarium and the same contribution. In case of sudden demise or accidental death, pension is paid to his children and wife by the PF department. PF department gives interest at the rate of 8.2 percent on the deposited amount. When appointed, priority is given in recruitment on the basis of experience and registration number of PF office.

Instructions were given that the earnest money deposited by the institute along with other dues should not be paid until the actual amounts against the said institute are determined by the department. Attendance and salary register, audited balance sheet and all annexures, cash deposit and account book of M/s RS Enterprises Jaipur (Firm), records related to the contractor were also sought.
