Responsibility has also been given for whether the work is being done as per the approved map or not. The inspecting officer visits the building owner on site and confirms that the construction has been carried out as per the approved plan. Otherwise, notice is given to the concerned party and instructions are given to remove the construction that is against the rules. If this is not followed, action up to seizure and demolition can be taken, but in reality this does not happen. The owner of the building puts up the notice of acceptance publicly, after which the responsible people do not turn towards it.
The number of multi-storey buildings in the city is estimated at 200. The corporation administration is conducting a survey to investigate the use of basements of buildings. Action will be taken if the survey is used against the rules.
Illegal construction needs to be stopped immediately
If any action is taken against the rules, the corporation administration will have to immediately seek clarification from the owner. There are rights to stop construction work during this period.
