Ajmer kidnapping and hostage taking gang busted

Ajmer : A joint team of Ajmer’s Christianganj and Gegal police station has arrested 4 accused in the case of holding 5 youths from UP and Bihar hostage in a hotel room, subjecting them to third degree torture and demanding ransom of Rs 5 lakh each from their families. Has been arrested.

The victims say that Akhilesh Yadav, a resident of Milkipur (Ayodhya), had brought them to Ajmer on the pretext of a job. Here he was kept hostage in 2 rooms of Hotel Shivam Palace. Akhilesh handed him over to Dharmeshwar Gaur and his associates and fled.

Actually, there was a dispute going on between Akhilesh and Dharmeshwar Gaur regarding transactions worth lakhs of rupees. Gaur and his associates took five youths hostage and beat them up in exchange for the money to be recovered from Akhilesh and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh each from their families. On the instructions of SP Vandita Rana, the police is searching for other associates of the accused.

According to the police, Buxar Bihar resident Virendra Kumar Ojha has told in the report that Ayodhya resident Akhilesh Yadav had brought his friends Abhishek, Yashwant, Somendra and Siddharth to Ajmer on the pretext of job. On November 6, Akhilesh hosted all five at Hotel Shivam Palace. After this Akhilesh disappeared. Dharmeshwar Gaur and his seven-eight associates took them hostage in the hotel rooms. The accused kept assaulting him and trying to contact Akhilesh Yadav by calling from his mobile phone. The next day, Dharmeshwar and his associates forcibly took them in a car and took them to the village. There too, they were taken hostage and beaten at a deserted place. Brought back from the village to the hotel room and locked it.
