Ajmer : Ajmer Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar said that to prevent undeclared power cuts, the government has planned to produce 600 MW of electricity in the state. Agricultural and domestic power lines will be separate. There will be MoUs worth Rs 25 lakh crore in Rising Rajasthan. He said this while talking to journalists at Ajmer Discom on Thursday. During this, the MLAs expressed their displeasure over the delay in connection, unannounced cuts and the electricity system. Nagar said that electricity banking was done due to the mismanagement of the Congress rule. Due to this, from March to June we had to purchase electricity for Rs 10 and refund it. People were troubled due to the scorching heat. Now we have purchased electricity for Rs 5.40, which will reduce the problems of the public. We have improved the plants. Will sign MoUs worth Rs 25 lakh crore in Rising Rajasthan. This will increase self-reliance in electricity of Rajasthan.

Nagar expressed displeasure over complaints like 3 to 6 hours of unannounced power cut in Ajmer, connection not being provided on time. He said that the Discom-Energy Department will take action if Tata Power does not function properly. It is very serious that the company is not developing its resources despite having a 20-year MOU.
Situation worsened under Congress rule
Taking a dig at the previous Congress government, Nagar said that due to wrong DPR preparation and weak transmission system, many GSS are not providing electricity during the day. These will be upgraded by December. 400 KV GSS will be built in Udaipur and 220 KV GSS will be built in Nathdwara. This will strengthen the power system. Managing Director K.P. MLA Bhadel-Chaudhary expressed displeasure
In the meeting, Ajmer South MLA Anita Bhadel expressed her strong displeasure over the delay in connection, unannounced cuts, negligence in maintenance of lines and transformers. He took on the officers of Discoms including Tata Power. He said that there are irregularities in the bills of consumers and the work of laying underground cables in dense areas is incomplete. Kishangarh MLA Vikas Chaudhary said that complaints are being received about not getting domestic and agricultural connections on time. Solutions are not being found even in public hearing.
