Ajmer : The jurisdiction of Ajmer Municipal Corporation will expand. District Collector Lokbandhu has formed a committee regarding this. The committee will submit the report to the District Collector in three months. The city and surrounding people will benefit if the border is expanded. However, there is a demand for this for a long time. At present there are 80 wards in the city limits. Proposals regarding delimitation and reorganization of wards have also been sent to the state government several times. The Special Secretary of the Autonomous Government Department has sent a letter to this effect to the district administration.

District Collector Lokbandhu has formed a committee and made Municipal Corporation Commissioner Deshladan the chairman. In this, ADA Secretary Anil Poonia, Deputy Commissioner (Administration) of Municipal Corporation Anita Chaudhary, Sub-Divisional Officer of Ajmer and Pushkar and Tehsildar and Development Officer Ajmer-Rural have been appointed as members.

About five years ago, objections were raised regarding the boundaries and ward formation of the Municipal Corporation. The wards of the corporation had increased from 60 to 80. Twenty wards were created by carving out old wards. On which the then councilors had protested.
