Ajmer petrol pump manager embezzled Rs 19.5 lakh, investigation ongoing

Ajmer : Ajmer Mangaliyawas – A case of embezzlement of Rs 19.51 lakh has come to light by the manager appointed for the sale and record maintenance of oil at Ghanshyam Lal filling station located in Arjunpura Khalsa. The owner of the pump has filed a case of embezzlement and fraud in Mangliyawas police station. The victim is petrol pump owner Urmila, wife of Subhash Byla, resident of CC Road Vishnu Hill Town Colony, Ajmer. In the case lodged through complaint at Mangliyawas police station, he told that one of his petrol pumps is located at Arjunpura, NH-8 and is being operated in the name of Ghanshyam Lal Filling Station. On which 8 employees are working. Since July 2008, Jitendra son of Rampal Meghvanshi, resident of Deep Darshan Colony, Asomalpur, was on the post of manager at the pump. Whose responsibility was to keep complete accounts of the petrol pump.

He was entrusted with the responsibility to enter the complete details of whatever transactions he will do with the customers in a prescribed register and after matching the amount received, deposit the amount received daily in the account of the petrol pump and maintain the receipt in the records of the petrol pump. But he maliciously did not deposit the money received from the pump’s customers into the petrol pump’s account and used it for his own personal use. The accused did not deposit the regular customers of the petrol pump, who used to pay their petrol diesel bills to the accused at the same time, in the bank account of the petrol pump and kept it for himself. The accused took money from the customers and used it for his personal use.

The accused filled diesel worth Rs 1.66 lakh in other vehicles in the name of Grow India Ajmer. The accused also kept that with himself. The accused got diesel filled in other vehicles in the name of Shivam Transport. Which was not Shivam’s car. During this period, around 18 cases of embezzlement were committed and the amount of Rs 19 lakh 51 thousand 959 was defrauded. On the report of the victim, Mangliyawas police has registered a case of embezzlement and fraud against the accused and started investigation. The investigation of the case has been entrusted to ASI Chhotu Ram Bhadana.
