Ajmer : Government Railway Police has launched a special campaign to search for lost and stolen mobile phones of passengers. In the last one month, the police team recovered 52 mobile phones and returned 12 phones to the victims. The police is also trying to return the remaining 40 recovered mobile phones to their owners. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ajmer Circle) Ram Avtar Chaudhary said that on the orders of GRP SP Narendra Singh, a special operation was launched a month ago to recover lost and stolen mobile phones. For the campaign, a special team formed under the leadership of Ajmer GRP police station incharge Anil Dev recovered 52 mobile phones from the lost mobile phone IMEI tracking system in three days. Which includes many branded and expensive mobile phones. The estimated value of the recovered mobile phone is around Rs 6 lakh. Of the recovered mobile phones, 12 were handed over to their owners. GRP police station is continuously engaged in arresting the criminals who commit incidents of theft in trains.

On October 14, the special team, while investigating and tracing the recorded cases of lost mobile phones from September 2023 till now, recovered 52 mobile phones in the last one month. In this, on Sunday, 12 mobile phones were called to the GRP police station and handed over to the real owners. The owners’ faces lit up after finding their lost mobile phones. Head constable Dinesh Mahawar, Dilip Singh, Hiralal, Firoz, constable Ashok Kumar (special contribution), Baldev, Tejpal, Bhanwarvikram Singh were involved in the police action.
