Ajmer Public Works Department is preparing ‘PWD-Seva’ app

Ajmer : Ajmer Now city residents will be able to give information about damaged roads directly to the Public Works Department. The Public Works Department is now preparing to launch the ‘PWD-Seva’ app. With this, information about damaged roads anywhere in the state can be given to the departmental headquarters. Currently, the work of uploading GPS, photo, area etc. data of roads and buildings constructed by PWD is going on experimentally. It is being tested at the headquarters level. In the coming few months, the general public will be able to lodge complaints directly on this app. The app will be launched in 2025.

these problems right now

At present the general public is not able to get information about the department controlling damaged roads. Nor is it known about the construction period of the road and the agency responsible for its maintenance. In such a situation, information is given to the district administration or the concerned department. After this, it is not known about the action taken on the complaint. Once the complaint is received through the app, the process of road repair will be started.

The agency is building the road

Generally, the responsibility of main road construction rests with the Public Works Department. Whereas the internal roads of the city are built by the Municipal Corporation or local bodies. But now Smart City Project, RSRDC and Ajmer Development Authority etc. are also involved in road construction.

Maintenance takes some time

Generally, road maintenance and patchwork work is done every year before and after the rains. There is no work during the four months of rainy season from June to September. Many times roads are not repaired for years. After the launch of the app, better changes are being expected in this system.
