Ajmer : Ajmer Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University is planning to conduct semester and annual examinations in two shifts. The Acting Vice Chancellor is planning this to overcome the travel problems faced by remote students and to make better arrangements at the examination centres. A decision on this will be taken after discussion with principals-officers-teachers. University BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BA Ed., B.P.Ed., MA, M.Sc., M.Com, BCA, BBA, MBA, BA-B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed., B.Sc. IT, M.Tech Computer Science, M.J.Sc., PG Diploma in Computer Conducts other examinations including Science, Yoga Instructor etc. These include semester and annual examinations.
Students will face less problems
Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. According to Kailash Sodani, students face difficulty in returning home early in the morning and late in the evening after missing exams. Having exams in two shifts will reduce the problems of students. Resources at the centers will also be put to good use. Earlier, Govind Guru Tribal University of Banswara had also started the examination in two shifts. This experiment has been successful.

Now exam in three shifts: At present, university examinations are being conducted from 7 to 10 in the morning, 11 to 2 and 3 to 6 in the evening. For the 7 am exam, students have to leave home a day before or at 4-5 am. Many times roadways or private buses are not available when the exam is left at 6 o’clock in the evening shift.
