Ajmer : Thousands of people have been waiting for roadways buses for 20 years on the old Deoli road from Ajmer Kekri district headquarters. Neither private vehicles nor roadways buses operate on this route. Due to which people are forced to travel only on their two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Thousands of people living in dozens of villages within a distance of 30 kilometers of the old Kekri-Deoli road are still deprived of roadways buses to travel. Due to which thousands of students are either studying in other cities for higher education or are forced to leave their studies. At present, buses are being operated by the corporation between Kekri and Deoli via Savar. Let us tell you that Negadiya bridge was built on the old-Kota road in the year 2014 at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Since then, heavy vehicles are also passing through the bridge. But waiting for roadways buses.
14 kilometer journey will be reduced
Buses are being operated via Savar – More than 50 roadways buses are being operated via Savar during 24 hours on many routes including Kekri to Kota, Rawatbhata, Aklera, Jhalawar, Ramganj Mandi, Bhawanimandi, Baran, Indore, Bhopal. Buses going to Deoli via Savar and coming to Kekri have to travel a distance of 48 kilometers. When traveling via the old Kota route to Negadiya, this distance reduces by 14 kilometers. If the Corporation gives permission to these buses to travel via Negadiya, then not only diesel will be saved, but time and fare will also be saved for the passengers.
Negadiya bridge sank in 2004
After the year 2004, the British era bridge at Negadiya was submerged due to complete waterlogging in Bisalpur Dam. Since then, roadways buses are closed on the old Kekdi-Deoli route. However, in the year 2014 a heavy bridge has been built on this route. Even after the construction of the bridge, roadways buses are not being operated.
Roadways will benefit
Roadways buses will be benefited by starting Kekri-Deoli via Negadiya Hok. Due to this, the income of roadways will increase as dozens of big villages and towns of the area will be connected to the bus service. There will be savings in diesel and time. The old Kekri-Deoli route will reduce diesel consumption by about three liters per bus. In such a situation, about 6 liters of diesel can be saved in commuting on this route. By operating more than 50 buses, about 300 liters of diesel can be saved every day. Due to which the Roadways Department can save lakhs of rupees.
More distance via Savar – The distance from Kekri to Deoli via Savar is about 50 kilometers. Whereas the distance from Kekri-Deoli via Negadiya is only 31 kilometers. There are big villages and towns like Naikheda, Molkiya, Kaleda Krishna Gopal, Bogla, Ramthala, Bijwad, Badla, Maleda, Nasirda, Thanwala, Hisampur, Dhundhari on Negadiya route. The journey takes 45 minutes via the old Kekri route. Whereas it takes more than an hour to go via Sawar.
The only running bus also stopped
The only bus going to Dhundhari used to run on the old Kekdi-Deoli route. Which has also been closed by the Roadways Department recently. Due to which students and passengers have to face a lot of trouble. This was the only bus running on this route for the last one year. In which the passenger load was also good. Despite that, the Roadways Department stopped the bus and started the bus via Savar.
