Ajmer women in fear, no trace of robbers even after 24 hours of incidents

Ajmer : Following the orders of Ajmer Additional Chief Secretary Anand Kumar, the district police was busy in maintaining the arrangements for night patrolling and the vicious chain snatcher gangs kept committing incidents one after the other in broad daylight. Fearless criminals made women victims of chain snatching from one corner of the city to the other. Defying the police vigil, they crossed the limits of four police stations and escaped. Even after more than 24 hours have passed, the police have not been able to find any clue about the robbers.

In view of the recent incidents of chain snatching, women have become afraid to step out of the house. Criminals are not shying away from putting their hands on the neck of women in broad daylight in the presence of their family members. On Wednesday, the gang pounced on the woman’s neck and pulled the chain in Vaishali Nagar Chaudhary Colony, Gaurav Path, Old Chowpatty and Kesarganj. After the incident, the robbers passed through the main road of the city leisurely on a bike with Ajmer registration number without any hindrance but there was no one to stop them.

Double helmet, slippers

Both the robbers riding the bike were wearing helmets whereas in the city usually a single helmet is installed on two-wheelers. The presence of a double helmet on the bike with Ajmer registration number only reveals the intentions of the criminals. Even 24 hours after the incident, the police were scanning the CCTV cameras of Abhay Command Center and the main roads of the city but could not find any trace of the chain snatchers.

Number plate also turned out to be fake

Initial investigation by the police revealed that the bike had a fake registration number of Ajmer. When the registration number seen in CCTV was investigated, the number plate on the bike also turned out to be fake. The bike whose number was used was present at the vehicle owner’s house. After committing the chain snatching incident with Geeta Mishra, a resident of Mitranagar in Vaishali Nagar Chaudhary Colony on Wednesday, Gaurav Path left towards Vaishali Nagar. The second incident of chain snatching happened with the wife of Manish Kumar, resident of Chitrakoot Colony. In front of Gaurav Path Purani Chowpatty, two youths riding a bike hit his scooter at high speed and pounced on his wife’s neck and broke an 18 gram gold chain and ran away. After this, the third incident of chain snatching took place in Clock Tower police station area on Wednesday. Happened with Yashika Vaswani. The report said that she had come from home to Kesarganj market on a scooter with her father. Near the vegetable market, two youths riding a bike came at high speed from behind, pounced on his neck, broke the gold chain and ran away.
