The complaint about the matter has been lodged in the Cyber ​​and Civil Lines police station, not by the victim. Civil Line police station has registered a case and started investigation. According to Civil Line police station, Satyendra Singh Nathawat, resident of Jai Hanuman Colony, Kayad Road, has filed a case at the police station. The victim gave a complaint and said that the fraudsters had told him that he was an employee of Paytm Money Limited and ONE 97, a subsidy company. The company was said to be registered with SEBI. He was tricked into giving stock market information through a WhatsApp group.

The victim told the police that later the thugs linked him to a private app on the pretext of more profits. The amount was transferred online to different banks. False figures were shown in the app. When asked for the money back, it was not given and a threat was given to deposit the other amount. Also kicked him out of the fake app. Similarly, around Rs 14 lakh 46 thousand were embezzled from him. Civil Line police station is busy investigating the case.
