Ajmer News Desk: Miscreants set petrol pump on fire over a dispute over Rs 500 in Ajmer. Before setting the vehicle on fire, the miscreants beat up the salesman and looted cash and jewellery. A CCTV of this has also surfaced. The incident took place late at 10 pm on Wednesday night in Lohagal of Christianganj police station area. Police caught 4 accused. It was fortunate that the pump workers controlled the fire within 35 seconds, otherwise a major accident could have happened. At the time of the incident, there was a total of 50 thousand liters of petrol and diesel in the petrol pump. Police station in-charge Arvind Charan said – miscreants had committed the crime late night at the petrol pump on Lohagal Road. The petrol pump belongs to Abhimanyu Singh, son of former deputy mayor of Ajmer Municipal Corporation, Ajit Singh. The pump owner filed a case against Devraj, Deepak alias Deepu, Devkaran Fauji, Dev, Pradeep Soni and Khushiram Fauji and others.

On December 12, around 10 pm, Pradeep Soni, Devraj, Dev, Devkaran, Khushiram and Deepak came to the petrol pump in an Indica car and filled diesel worth Rs 500. There was a dispute over this matter and the youth in the car started fighting. After some time the youth left from there.

About Rs 8 thousand of the collection was snatched from him. Rohit escaped from them and ran towards the office. Meanwhile, Rohit’s brother Yatendra, who worked with him at the pump, reached there and tried to talk to the miscreants. While assaulting him, the miscreants snatched the gold chain. Also attempted to kidnap Yatendra. After this the miscreants ran away.
