Ajmer : In Ajmer, where heavy rains had led to waterlogging everywhere, now efforts have begun to change everything. Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has directed the Ajmer district administration to make a long-term plan for the drainage of rainwater and overflow water of lakes in the city. For this, the full budget will be provided by the state government. The area of the lake will be increased by removing all types of encroachments from Ana Sagar, Foy Sagar Lake and Bandi River. After the rains, a culvert and a wall will be built near the Foy Sagar dam. After this, everything will look changed.

Devnani visited Bajranggarh Road, Brahmapuri Escape Channel, Chowpatty, Chaurasiawas Lake, Bandi River and saw the situation. Instructions have been given to reduce the water on Bajranggarh Road and start traffic and to raise the culvert. The situation of waterlogging caused by the escape channel in Brahmapuri area has also been asked to be improved immediately. He said that action will be taken to remove all types of encroachments, whether raw or paved, from Bandi River, Foy Sagar and Ana Sagar area and the filling area of both the lakes will be increased.
Expressed displeasure over power failure
After inspecting the embankment of Foysagar lake, Devnani said that a culvert and safety wall will be built here after the water level of the lake decreases. On power outage in the city, Devnani said that generators should be installed where there is trouble due to waterlogging. Similarly, the work of patchwork and repair of roads can also start soon. Devnani has instructed the district administration to speed up the relief operation in the areas affected by heavy rains and waterlogging in Ajmer city. Milk, drinking water, food items should be made available in the waterlogged areas. A large scale campaign will be launched to end waterlogging.
