New Delhi, December 1 (IANS). Border Security Force (BSF) is celebrating its 60th raising day. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished BSF personnel on social media platform X on Sunday.

He wrote on social media platform Contribute.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated the soldiers and wrote on X-Post, “Congratulations to the BSF soldiers and their families on the Raising Day. BSF soldiers have strongly defended the honor and ambitions of India and for this Their bravery and sacrifice, which never shied away from life, has been an inexhaustible source of inspiration to ensure that our nation always moves forward. My tribute.”

BSF wrote on the ex-post, “On the occasion of 60th Border Security Force Day, we Border Guards reiterate our commitment for national defense and nation building. Imbibing our motto ‘Duty for Life’, every border guard performs his duties with full dedication. Committed.”

BSF Raising Day is celebrated on 1 December as the military unit responsible for guarding India’s land border and combating international crime during peace time was raised on this day in 1965.

India’s vast borders extend for more than 15,000 kilometers. BSF shoulders the huge responsibility of protecting these borders.
