Alwar : Alwar government has implemented the scheme of providing 15 thousand liters of free water to the consumers of urban areas. According to this, every consumer of Alwar city comes under the ambit of this free scheme, but the department is extorting money from other consumers by giving the benefits of the scheme only to 20 thousand consumers. In fact, there would hardly be any area in Alwar where Water is supplied daily. In some areas, water is coming in two days and in some areas in three to four days. On an average, 3.15 crore liters of water is being supplied in the city every day. There are only 60 thousand water connections in the city. If the mathematics is done according to the supply, then there is no consumer who is getting 15 thousand liters of water in a month, yet he has to pay the full bill.
Supply of 516 liters of water to a consumer
If we look at the daily supply, on an average a consumer is getting only 500 to 515 liters of water. According to this also, the water consumption in a month is only around 15 thousand liters, whereas in reality water is not being supplied daily in any colony. In such a situation, the public has started raising questions that when water is not being given in full then why is the money being taken in full.
This argument of the department
The department argues that the meters are correct, but many consumers have removed the meters. In such a situation, the functioning of the department is also under question. If a consumer removes a sealed meter, there is a provision to disconnect his connection and charge a fine, whereas the department takes action only in cases of motor drawing of water during summer.
