Alwar : Winter has knocked in Alwar region. On Monday morning, the first dense fog of this season covered the area, due to which visibility reduced to just 50 meters. Due to the increasing effect of cold, people were seen wrapped in warm clothes. The fans that were running in the houses till recently have now completely stopped, and winter has strengthened its grip.
Traffic affected due to fog
Traffic was disrupted due to dense fog. Along with National Highway-48, State Highway-114 and 111, vehicles were also seen moving slowly with lights on on rural roads. Due to fog, a major accident took place near Kankar Chhaja village, where a bus went off the road and overturned in a field. The driver suffered minor injuries in this accident. Similarly, near village Manchal on Behror-Kund road, a car went out of control due to fog and collided with an electric pole. Four people in the car, including the driver, had a narrow escape. On receiving information about the accident, Sanjay Kumar, Bharat Kumar and Sahil Sharma of FRT team of Electricity Corporation reached the spot and stopped the power supply. All the people in the car were residents of Gandala village, who had come to attend a wedding ceremony in Manchal village.
Chilled children reached school
Due to increasing severity of cold, children had to go to school shivering. Due to the cold early in the morning, parents were seen sending their children to school wearing warm clothes. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the cold will increase further in the coming days. Dense fog and drop in temperature have affected normal life.
