Alwar : The result of the most talked about Ramgarh seat of Alwar Assembly by-election will come on Saturday. If Congress candidate Aryan Zuber Khan wins, he will score a hat-trick on this Congress seat. If BJP candidate Sukhwant Singh wins, then BJP which has been yearning for victory twice will get a gift. Besides, the stature of big leaders of Congress and BJP will also be decided. In this election, the reputation of Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Tikaram Julie and former Union Minister Jitendra Singh is at stake.
Counting of votes for the by-election will begin at 8 am. Probably the results will come by one o’clock. Counting of votes in 284 polling stations will be completed in 22 rounds. 13 tables have been installed for EVM counting. District Election Officer Dr. Artika Shukla said that all officers and employees will be present at the Government Arts College at 6 am for counting of votes. Earlier on Friday, the District Election Officer inspected the counting site. Only journalists and officers will be able to carry mobile phones: Agents, employees and others will not be allowed to have mobile phones. Journalists and prominent officials will be able to use mobile phones in the campus. Returning officers and observers will be able to take mobile phones into the counting room.
ROs will be able to take mobile inside for OTP of EVM. 75.29 percent voting took place in the assembly by-election. This is two percent less than the last assembly elections. If we look at the statistics of the last assembly elections, triangular elections have been taking place in Ramgarh, but this time the contest is one-on-one. Dalit voters will also directly affect the outcome of Ramgarh elections. The candidate towards whom the Dalit voter is inclined will win the election.
There will be three layer security: Three-layer security arrangements have been made to prevent unauthorized persons from entering the counting premises. No person will be allowed to pass through the first level of security without a duly issued authorization letter and photo ID card. Trend of last three elections. Year 2019 Safia Khan (Congress) -83,311 Sukhwant Singh (BJP) -71,083 Jagat Singh (BSP) 24,856 Result – Safia Khan of Congress won by 12,228 votes. Year 2013 Gyandev Ahuja (BJP) -73,842 Zuber Khan (Congress) -69,195 Fajru Khan (BSP) -7,790 Result – BJP’s Gyandev won by 4,647 votes. Preparations for counting continued till Friday evening.
Traffic will remain closed in front of Sukhwant, BJP Aryan, Congress Arts College: Vehicular traffic will remain closed from Jail Circle to Arts College on Saturday. Vehicles going towards Bhiwadi will cross the double gate from Jail Circle via Shivaji Park via Rath Nagar mode and go straight from Telco intersection. Vehicles will return via this route. Similarly, vehicles will be able to move towards Bhiwadi from Hanuman Circle despite going through Telco intersection. Vehicular traffic will also remain closed on the route from Cross Point Mall to Employees Colony.
