These are the rules of no-confidence motion
In Panchayati Raj institutions, three-fourths of the total members present a no-confidence motion against the chairperson. In the case of the district head, three-fourths of the district councilors present this no-confidence motion before the District Election Officer or Panchayati Raj Administrative Secretary. After this, a notice is issued to prove the no-confidence motion within the prescribed period. When voting takes place on the prescribed date, the status of the no-confidence motion being passed or rejected becomes clear. If the no-confidence motion is passed, then by declaring the post vacant, the government can temporarily nominate any member from the state level as the district head for some time. The State Election Commission issues the election program on receiving information about the vacant post. After that the district head is elected. If we look at the situation of the Municipal Corporation, this post can also go to the Deputy District Head.
